What brands look for in an influencer media kit

A brand opening your media kit wants three answers fast: does your audience match their customers, do your followers engage, and what would working with you cost? A kit that answers those on the first screen gets read.

Audience fit

Who follows you matters more than how many. Your niche, location and audience breakdown (gender, age groups, top countries) show a brand whether your followers are their customers. Copy these from Instagram Insights.

Engagement, not just followers

Brands compare engagement with follower count to judge whether an audience is active. Your kit shows an engagement rate based on followers, next to your median likes and comments.

Recent work and a clear next step

Six of your latest posts, ordered by likes, show your style. Below them, a short list of packages and an email or WhatsApp button save a round of back-and-forth.

Why live stats beat screenshots

Screenshots of your Insights go out of date within weeks and are easy to crop or edit, so careful brands ask for fresh ones anyway.

An Instagram media kit generator can read the numbers from the platform instead of from a picture of it. Your stats carry a “Synced · live via Instagram” label and cannot be typed over. When someone opens your link and the numbers are more than a day old, KitVerify pulls them again, so a link you sent last month still shows current figures.

Anything Instagram does not return is left off, not estimated: a username lookup gives no view counts, so the kit shows no view-based numbers. The methodology page explains every calculation.

What’s in your media kit

This influencer media kit generator fills in what Instagram provides; you add the rest in a short editor. Synced numbers and your own entries are kept apart, so a brand knows which is which.

Pulled from Instagram

  • Profile photo, name, bio and website link
  • Follower count
  • Engagement rate based on followers, from your recent posts
  • Median likes and median comments per post
  • Six featured posts: your latest posts, ordered by likes, each linking to Instagram

Added by you

  • Headline, niche, about text and location
  • Audience breakdown: gender, age groups, top countries and interests
  • Packages and rates
  • Email and WhatsApp buttons, each shown only if you switch it on
  • A layout (Signal, Classic or Pop) and a colour palette

Not included: views, reach and saves, which Instagram does not share for a username lookup. Nothing is estimated to fill the gap.

Setting your rates

KitVerify does not suggest prices; your kit shows the packages you enter, as you write them. A rate card is easier to say yes to when you:

  • Price each deliverable on its own: a Reel, a carousel, a set of Stories.
  • Say what is included, such as revisions or how long the post stays up.
  • List usage rights and exclusivity as extras.
  • Use a “from” price if every brief is different.

Not sure where to start? The influencer rate calculator gives a starting point from your own numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to log in to use the influencer media kit generator?

No. You build your kit and share the live link without logging in. Downloading the kit as a PDF needs a KitVerify account on a paid plan.

Which Instagram accounts can I use?

Public Creator and Business accounts. Instagram shares no data for private or personal accounts, so the build stops with a message instead of making a half-empty kit. You can switch to a Creator account in Instagram’s settings.

How is the engagement rate calculated?

Median likes plus median comments across your recent posts, divided by followers. Posts under three days old are left out while they are still collecting likes, unless that leaves too few to measure.

Can I change the numbers on my kit?

No. Numbers pulled from Instagram cannot be edited, which is what makes them worth showing a brand. Everything you add yourself you can change at any time.

Can I add my TikTok stats?

TikTok has no public lookup, so the generator cannot pull TikTok numbers from a username. Add your TikTok handle now; the stats appear once you create an account and connect TikTok with a one-time, read-only login.

Should I put my rates in my media kit?

Listing packages with prices saves time with brands that are ready to book. If your pricing changes a lot per brief, use a “from” price, or leave rates off and discuss them by email.
